MALTO DEXTRIN Description Maltodextrin is plant-based sugar created by hydrolyzing a saccharide with starch from corn, potato, or rice. It is widely used in cosmetics and skincare products, as it functions as a moisturiser and texture enhancer. Maltodextrin is also known to enhance the anti-aging benefits of alpha-hydroxy acids or AHAs, which are commonly used in anti-aging products. This is due to their ability to improve the appearance of photodamaged or naturally aged skin and help reduce the visible pigmentation caused by hormones, genetics, sun, and diet.
